Why Local supporting local matters to me and Why Seth’s Coffee Shop Gets It Right
Local supporting local is not a buzzword to me. It is a way of life. It is how communities stay strong, families stay rooted, and real people thrive. When we choose to spend our money locally, we are not just buying a product. We are investing in neighbors. We are keeping dollars circulating right here where we live, work, and worship. That is why Seth’s Coffee Shop has become one of my favorite local places.
Not just because the coffee is good, but because the purpose behind the place is even better.
In a state where community often revolves around bars, Seth’s Coffee Shop set out to be something different. Something rare. A place where people can gather, slow down, and genuinely connect without the noise.

The Vision Behind Seth’s Coffee Shop
When asked about the original vision, the owner shared that the heart behind Seth’s was simple but intentional. Being born and raised in Little Chute, the goal was to provide a true place of community. A non bar environment where people could come together. In Wisconsin, that is not something you find everywhere. Seth’s was created to fill that gap and give people a welcoming space to enjoy community in a different way. That vision is felt the moment you walk through the door.

Why Local Supporting Local Matters Here
Local supporting local is not just talked about at Seth’s. It is lived out daily.
From serving locally roasted coffee from Ruby Coffee, to sourcing products from Lamers, Breadsmith, and Haen’s Meats, the commitment is intentional. These are real people who live, work, and worship in the community. When money is spent here, it stays here. It strengthens the local economy instead of flowing outward to large corporations. That mindset matters. Small choices, like where you buy your coffee, add up to something much bigger. A Place That Feels Like Home there is a feeling you get the moment you settle in at Seth’s.
It comes from the quiet chattering of voices layered with conversation. From people walking by your table, delivering coffee or baked goods with a genuine smile. From the sun shining through the main street windows, filling the space with warmth, love, and comfort. This is a place that invites you to slow down. To enjoy that cup of coffee. To have that conversation. With a friend. A spouse. A first date. A neighbor. Even a business meeting that feels more human than hurried.

At its core, this place is founded on community.
In many ways, it reminds me of time spent in the Northwoods of Wisconsin. Not quite as quiet, but carrying that same feeling of comfort, love, and serenity. That sense that you are exactly where you are supposed to be. That is why when I say, whether in person or in my posts, that I am at my favorite local coffee shop, it is not hyperbole. It is not a marketing gimmick. It is not clickbait.
It comes from a sincere heart of gratitude for a place we can all call home without the noise.
If you are looking to escape the world that constantly tries to drown us out, stepping into Seth’s Coffee Shop is not just about getting coffee. It is an experience.
Not only great coffee, but a true sense of home.
A Place Where Community Grows
Seth’s Coffee Shop naturally brings people together. Friends meet. Families gather. Conversations happen.
It has become a place for first dates. Frost dates included. Employees have met their spouses while working there. Relationships form organically because the space invites connection.
What makes it work is intentional neutrality. Outside noise is left at the door so the focus stays on authentic community. A diverse group of customers and employees come together, differences set aside, united by a cup of coffee, a great turkey sandwich, a fresh in house baked item, or a scoop of chocolate shop ice cream, which happens to be my daughters’ favorite. Why It Is All Worth It
At the end of the day, when the doors are locked, what matters most is not sales numbers.
It is the former employees who look back fondly on their time there. The relationships that were formed. The handwritten notes and Christmas cards from customers thanking them for providing a space that mattered in their lives. And quietly, after years of trials, there is pride in being able to provide well for family through honest work that serves others.

Places like Seth’s Coffee Shop remind us that community does not happen by accident. It happens when people choose purpose, relationships, and neighbors over convenience and corporations.
And that is why it will always have my support
